St Mark's Square
Venice's great open-air drawing room, framed by the Procuratie and open to the lagoon basin.
Demo page: practical data are examples.
About
A long, slightly trapezoidal square that draws the eye towards the basilica. Cross it early in the morning or at sunset, when low light brings out the arcades and the crowds thin out. During high water, some areas may only be passable on raised walkways.
